Yardly does not have terms of service yet. The headings below are a checklist for the document a lawyer still has to write. Nothing on this page is a contract, and using the waitlist does not mean you agree to terms that have not been published.
Who can use the service
Not written yet. This section will need to say who may create an account, and that customers and providers have different roles.
Providers are independent businesses
Not written yet. The terms will need to say that people who do the yard work are independent businesses, not employees of the platform.
Jobs, listed prices, and acceptance
Not written yet. This section will need to describe posting a job, the listed price, and what happens when a provider accepts.
Fees
Not a contract yet. You pay the job price. There is no extra fee. The provider receives that price after Yardly's 7.5% fee. Jobs start at $35. If you complete fewer than 3 jobs in a month, a small fee of up to about $1.24 covers payment processing. For example, one $30 job adds about $1.24, taken from your next payout, not from a card. Members are exempt. A lawyer still has to write this section before it is in effect. Joining the waitlist does not create a charge.
Cancellations and refunds
Not written yet. A lawyer needs to draft the cancellation and refund rules before launch.
Work that is not allowed
Not written yet. This will need to cover work the platform won't list, including chemical application where a license is required.
Location information
Not written yet. The privacy draft lists what a future policy has to say about addresses and map coordinates. The terms should point at that policy once both exist.
Disputes and liability
Not written yet. Do not treat this page as a limit on anyone's rights.
